Archery is for everyone! We welcome all to join our club. 

Immediate full membership is available for:

  • Beginners who can show they’ve completed a beginners course.**
  • Existing/Lapsed Archery GB card holders.**

** Lapsed archers, or beginners who have completed a course elsewhere will be subject to a brief safety assessment.

If you have never handled a bow before, then you must undertake a beginners course. Courses are offered by many archery clubs, including Llandaff City Bowmen. For more information on our popular beginners course, click here.


If you’re unsure that archery is the sport for you, then try a “Have-a-go” session?
This will give you a 20 minute taster in which you will shoot some arrows at a target. These are normally carried out on a Thursday evening. All equipment is provided. The sessions cost £15 per person. Please contact us to arrange your session.


Membership fees (1st October 2023 – 30st September 2024) are as follows:

      • £120 for seniors 25+
      • £90 for seniors 18-24
      • £60 for juniors 12-17
      • Disabled archers:  please enquire about disabled rates.

Member target fees are charged per session at £3 for all seniors and £2 for juniors.

Membership includes affiliation to Archery GB (GNAS), Glamorgan Archery Association, and Welsh Archery Association. Affiliation is mandatory in order enter competitions. You will also receive a quarterly news magazine from Archery GB.

Our membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September, new members joining after on or after 1st April in the year, will pay 50% annual fee. Renewal of membership is due by the end of August each year.

Visiting Archers

Visiting archers with proof of current Archery GB membership are very welcome.
Target fees for visiting archers are £5 for seniors and £3 for juniors.
